BELFAST — Cony traveled from its Central Maine home down Route 3 to the coast on Saturday, Aug. 20 to face Belfast in a high school preseason girls soccer game and, when all was said and done, it was the host Lions who proved Ram tough.

The Lions controlled play en route to a 5-0 victory.

Natalie Hamlin tallied two goals to lead the charge for the hosts’ offense.

In the first half, Hamlin, Mila Donaghy and Ariana Evans tallied goals, while in the second half, Hamlin and Emma Waldron netted scores.

For Belfast, the goalie for the first half was Morgan Curtis, while the keeper in the second half was Zarrah Barnes.
