Final repairs to dam begin
Cindy Boguen, Select Board chair, announced that the new gates for  the dam have arrived!  The town will replace all three gates and started the lake drawdown for the work that was to begin Aug. 24. The goal for the drawdown of the lake is to 6 feet. The current level is at 7′ 4″.
There may be some prep work going on this week, but she said the real replacement work will begin after Labor Day Weekend, on or about Sept. 6.
