My name is Todd Boisvert, and I am running for sheriff of Waldo County. I cannot tell you how honored I am to live and work in Waldo County. From the moment my family and I stepped foot in Waldo County, I knew we had found a home.
I have always believed in public service and have been blessed to have an exceptional law enforcement and military career.
I believe that open and honest communication is the backbone of public service and this letter will be the first of several letters to introduce myself and my platform to the community.
I currently serve the town of Searsport as the chief of police and the director of public safety. I am a United States Air Force veteran with over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, 18 of which have been administrative or supervisory.
I have extensive experience in building and maintaining positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. I have served on the boards of nonprofit community agencies, worked with victims’ advocates for those who have been negatively impacted by crime, and worked closely with the housing authority, which led to helping many senior citizens in the community.
When the need arises to enforce the law, I do it with respect and compassion, with the safety of individuals and the community at large at the forefront.
I am incredibly proud and honored to have your consideration for the office of sheriff in Waldo County. I pledge to run a campaign based on honesty, integrity and respect.
