BELFAST — Waldo County Extension Association will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Belfast Soup Kitchen, 31 Belmont Ave.

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will include a tour, Q&A, farm-to-table dinner and a brief association business meeting.

Belfast Soup Kitchen provides high-quality, nutritious meals five days a week, year-round, and creates a supportive environment for people to gather for conversation and to access resources. The facility, which opened in June 2020, seats over 80 people and has a meeting room that seats 14 for training and other guest services.

The Soup Kitchen has an ergonomic commercial kitchen, a food storage room and an external walk-in cooler and freezer, with energy efficient and environmentally sustainable design and raised-bed gardens that are supported by Master Gardener volunteers.
