Greetings, Brooks.

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the cooler weather. There are a couple of upcoming events that I need to share with you.

The Marsh River Theater presents “Vanities.” Three friends in high school and college meet years later and realize that people can drift apart. This is a youth production and stars Lily Nevelle as Joanne, Madison Oliver as Mary and Chase Weaver as Kathy. The show runs on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. Hope to see you there. The cast and crew have put in a lot of hard work.

It’s back after a long absence! There will be an Afternoon Tea to benefit the Brooks Historical Society on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. The tea will be held at the Menard Barn on Moosehead Trail. Price is $18 for adults and $8 for children under 5.

Seating is limited, so reservations are suggested. Call 722-3236 to reserve a seat; contact me or visit Ralph’s Cafe to purchase tickets. Hats and dress-ups are encouraged. This is always a great time with wonderful food.

Until next time … peace.
