ROCKLAND — A Massachusetts man accused of dealing cocaine in Knox and Waldo counties was released on bail after posting $20,000 cash.

Bernard Holmes-Fox, 29, of Mattapan is charged with three counts of Class B trafficking in drugs (cocaine). The counts are tied to three times the suspect sold cocaine to an confidential informant working for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, according to an affidavit filed in the Knox County court by the MDEA.

Holmes-Fox was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 14 by agents of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Mid-Coast District Task Force and Rockland police. He was arrested in the parking lot of the gas station/convenience store at the intersection of Old County Road and Route 17 in Rockland.

The arrest came after the Massachusetts man sold cocaine to a confidential informant at a Beech Hill residence in Rockport on Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 at the Trade Winds Inn in Rockland, according to the affidavit.
