BELFAST — Approaching five decades of inspiring, seasonal, entertaining and beautiful choral music, Penobscot Bay Singers is returning to in person rehearsals this fall (mid October) under the direction of Richard Dostie.

Linnea Johnson, long-time accompanist for the chorus, retired this season and the group is hiring a new accompanist.

The group practices Wednesdays in Belfast from 7 to 9 p.m. This year’s first concert is scheduled for the second weekend in December.

Preferably an applicant should have the ability to play from an open choral score (normally SATB, no written accompaniment). This is highly desirable, though not essential.

Interested pianists can email Kathy Hayes at penbaysingers@gmail.com by Oct. 1.
