SEARSPORT — Hazel M. Kuhn, 88, passed away Sept. 16, 2022, at her residence in Searsport.  She was born May 14, 1934, in Norwich, Conn., to Anders and Hazel (Stockdale) Anderson.

Hazel was an active member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was a strong woman who fought cancer years ago and later had dementia and leukemia.

She used to tell stories of her cow named Hazel and so many more stories.  She loved to go for rides and sit on the deck and watch traffic go by.  Hazel always enjoyed when her daughter, Kathy, would call and brighten up her night.  Those who knew her have so many wonderful memories of her.

She was predeceased by her father, Andy Anderson, and his wife Eva; her mother, Hazel Anderson;  brothers, David Anderson, Jim Anderson and Pete Anderson; sisters Myrtle McCraken and Claire Anderson; and grandson, Richard Berube.

Hazel is survived by her brother, Ted Anderson; her oldest daughter, Karen Messier, her children Jessica Berube-Espitia, Melissa Messier, Lee-Ann Maheu and son Michael Maheu; daughter Kathy Humes and husband Alan Sr., and their children, Ashley Humes and Alan Humes Jr.; daughter Patty Bernard and husband David, her children Jack Lint, James Lint and Vito Caruso; and Hazel’s two sons, Robert Kennison and Ronald Kennison.  She is also survived by stepsons Clayton Kuhn and wife Jen and Wade Kuhn and wife Velicia; and stepdaughters Pat Morrell, Donna Bates and Denise Morrill and all their children.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Frankfort.  Memories and condolences may be shared a ripostafh.com.
