WARREN — The Midcoast will have a wealth of softball experience host a pitching clinic at The PITCH on Sunday, Oct. 23, as two top-notch hurlers come to guide pitchers of today and tomorrow.

The clinic will feature Julie Roy and Kayla (Vannah) Lyons, former pitchers who also combine for more than 20 years of coaching experience.

Roy is a former Division I southpaw pitcher, while Lyons is a former pitcher for St. Joseph’s College of Standish and Medomak Valley High School of Waldoboro.

The clinic will allow pitchers to get more comfortable with mechanics and form, while also working on routines and spins of the ball.

The clinic will be 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. for pitchers ages 8-11 and 9:45-10:45 a.m. for pitchers ages 12-18.

Each pitcher must bring water, glove and a catcher. If the catcher is under age 18, a waiver will need to be signed and the catcher must wear full catching gear.

To inquire, email julieroypitching@gmail.com and state the player’s name, age and pitching experience (beginner or experienced).
