BELFAST — Do you want to learn how to make your own reusable fabric tote bag? Join sewist Jane McLean Thursday, Nov. 3, in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, 106 High St., from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for a free demonstration.

McLean will show attendees how to make lined and unlined tote bags from a variety of cost effective materials, as well as how to add pockets, box bottoms, and a variety of closures. Written instructions will be provided.

McLean formerly operated a small sewing business, PinchPenny Threads. A retired special educator, she now lives, sews, knits and plays the ukulele in Belfast.

For more information, call the library at 207-338-3884, ext. 10.
