Thankfully the rain has stopped and the sun is promising a few good days ahead — enjoy it.

The Historical Society will hold a potluck meal Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 p.m. at the Community Dining Room This will be to the last meeting of the season, hope you can make it.

Remember Nov. 8 to vote. Go in the back door. It’s all set up.

I am going home Tuesday after being gone for two months. My girls have gotten everything ready so I can live at home. I am blessed. I have lived there since 1962 and really do miss home.

On Nov. 1 my friend will take me out to Puddle Duck Kennel in Morrill so I can get my dog Daisy, that has been out there since Aug. 17. I miss her greatly.

This came to The Republican Journal from Brandy Bridges of the Prospect Comprehensive Planning Board:

“The Prospect Comprehensive Planning Board would like to say a big thank you to our neighbors! We’ve been meeting biweekly for about six months. We are gathering state datasets, community input and working to create a much-needed comprehensive plan to help guide Prospect’s future. To do so, we needed to understand what the people here feel is important and what they want to see for the future.

“We mailed surveys to every household in our community, 432 in total. So far about 40% of our folks have returned their surveys. An impressive number, so thanks again! We want everyone to know, your voices have been heard! We are so grateful for all the thoughts, opinions and visions, for our town. We hear you, and are working hard to build a plan everyone can be proud of! It’s not too late for residents to speak, surveys are still available at the Town Office.”

It’s getting close to turning the clocks back one hour on Nov. 5, then it will get dark by 4:30 p.m. — growl.

Again, thank you to all for the prayers, cards and visits, it is very humbling but welcomed. I will not be getting out of the house except for doctor visits, as I will have a home nurse for a while as Medicare does not approve. So you can drop in for coffee or tea.

Have a good week.
