Hello to you all. Hope you all are enjoying these warm days and staying warm on these cold nights.
You all have a fun-filled week and be safe. Be thankful for each and every day.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mary Grant who passed away. She was a really wonderful
person. She will be deeply missed by all.

V.F.D. notes

We congratulate firefighter Lee Pellecchia on completion of the E.V.O.C. (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) recently. She attended two evening classes hosted at the Liberty Fire Station and finished by completing a driver’s course at Mount View High School.

Another school starts Oct. 18, again hosted at the Liberty station. This will be a basic pups course. At this time a number of your Morrill Fire Department firefighters are scheduled to attend.

Once again, a reminder. Please, no paper bags or boxes and tie all bags when leaving bottles/cans at the recycle cage by the Fire Station. The plastic trash bags hooked on the cage are yours for the taking. We are even trying to recycle those that are in good condition.

Thank you to Dan Burleigh for volunteering to do some projects at the Fire Station. He built and put up some shelves as well as made three wall boxes to house battery chargers for portable radios. You can assist the department by offering to help with some station and vehicle minor maintenance duties. Ask
how you can help.

By the time you read our next update, we will have a raffle winner to announce.

If you would like to do some Christmas shopping and help out to raise money for their food pantry, Jackson Food Pantry has a trailer loaded with items. Some of the items they have are children’s toys, games, slippers for men and women, tools, blankets, etc. They also have things for sale during the week on their site. If you would like to set up an appointment, please call Donna Nickerson at 722-3373. This
helps them buy food from Good Shepherd Food Bank to feed local people. Please come see what they have and support the food pantry.

If you have anything you want in your column please email me, I would love to put it in the paper for you.
