Christie LeVesque, Swanville’s new town clerk, wants residents to know details about voting in the Nov. 8 general election. Polls will be open Tuesday, Nov. 8, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the lower level of the Swanville Community Building, 6 Town House Road.

Absentee ballots are available at the Town Office. It is not too late to register to vote. For your convenience, the registrar will be available at the Town Office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 to 11:30 a.m., and on Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. You may also register to vote on Election Day.

Those who need to register will be required to show come form of picture ID (such as a Maine driver’s license). If the picture ID doesn’t have your current physical address, please bring a utility bill or bank statement showing your name and physical address.

Also note that because the general elections is on Tuesday, Nov. 8, the scheduled Planning Board meeting has been moved to Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m.
