UNITY — Paintings by Kelly Desrosiers are on display at Unity Public Library, 38 School St., from Nov. 1 through 30. All are welcome to the public opening reception Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m.

Desrosiers’ paintings are about the emotions conjured by this season — looking at the beauty of autumn, looking forward to the glow of the hearth and looking inward to what we value. They include local autumn scenes but also imaginative nocturnes and interiors that evoke warmth, comfort and safety. The series was created during the pandemic when these emotions were clearly so valuable.
