“Maine throughout the Seasons” will be presented on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom by naturalist and Registered Maine Guide Sandra Mitchell. Sandra will visit the natural world through the leans of her camera, pausing to point out some of Maine’s most interesting natural phenomena. No preregistration is required; just simply visit https://networkmaine.zoom.us/i/8788319688. The program is free and sponsored by the Friends of Sears Island and Carver Memorial Library.

Teens are invited to the library on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. to get ready for a “get ready for Thanksgiving” project of realistic, edible turkeys made from Oreo cookies, chocolate, and candy corn!  For those ages 11 to 19. Look for this event every third Tuesday of the month.

The Library Gift Basket Silent Auction starts Tuesday, Nov. 15, and runs through Dec. 15 at 4:45 p.m. This is a good chance to pick up an extra gift and benefit the library. Gift baskets contain everything from chocolate to garden supplies, pet themes, crafts, tea baskets, babysitting helpers and plenty more.

Don’t forget the other regular activities at the library like DIY projects every first Friday, Spice Club on the second Friday, Crafternoons on Thursday afternoons at 3 p.m., Book Club at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday, and the ever-popular Storytime with Rhonda Nichols on every Friday at 10:30 a.m.
