Here’s what’s coming up in Searsport. Bear with me; some of these I’ve mentioned in past issues.

The Searsport Historical Society House Tour on Saturday, Dec. 10, will feature eight decorated buildings from noon to 4:30 p.m. for $15. Tickets can be had from Karen Kelly at 548-2947 or at the Crary/Carlin/ Coleman House the day of the event.

Searsport First Congregational Church will feature music all afternoon on the 10th and the Penobscot Singers will perform there at 7 p.m. that evening.

It’s down to the last few days for the Christmas Gift Basket Sale Silent Auction! Bidding will end Thursday, Dec. 15, at 4:30 p.m. There is a wide variety of baskets from pet needs to cleaning helpers to chocolate!

Crafters will be at Mermaid Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 17, from noon to 3 p.m., selling jewelry, knitted items, and home goods. If you are a crafter and would like to participate, call Penny at 548-4055. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Searsport Food Pantry and the Makers Guild.

The Wreaths Across America convoy will be passing through Searsport on Sunday, Dec. 11, sometime after 11 a.m. (scheduled to leave Ellsworth about 10:45 a.m.). Feel free to get out to Route 1 and cheer and wave flags as they go by. Almost 60 vehicles will be passing by carrying thousands of wreaths to lay at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 17. If you’d like to learn more or get involved in supporting this project, go to wreathsacrossamerica.org.
