Hello Everyone,

It is cold out there, but we have no snow. Actually I’m glad no snow yet. It will be soon. Trying to stay warm like everyone else. Hope you all can be warm.

Sympathy

Just got word an old friend passed away Dec. 2. Herbert Irish of Clinton and Fairfield who had married my sister-in-law Bunny Letourneau Irish. May he rest in peace.

Birthday

A happy birthday to my brother, Roger Jr. “Gene” Drew.

From the Town Office

Nomination papers for third selectman will be available on Dec. 15, and must be returned to the Town Office before Jan. 23, 2023.

Always remember

The most beautiful things in life are not things. They’re people, places, memories and pictures. They’re feelings, moments, smiles and laughter. Always remember those less fortunate.

Wildlife

Haven’t seen many critters around. Just a few turkeys. Plenty of birds waiting for the bird feeders to be filled.

Pearl Harbor Day

Remembered my dad, Roger Drew Sr., on this day. He was in the Navy in World War II, and aboard the USS Colahan ship. Never forget! 1924-2004.

Thanks

Many thanks to all of you who remembered my birthday, and sent me wishes. I guess 80 is not so bad after all.

Until next time,

Stay warm. Be safe. Sympathy to all the families and friends who lost loved ones in the vehicle accident traveling from Castine, Maine Maritime Academy students. That road is a bad one. We used to travel it with my son Wayne, an MMA student years ago.

Be kind.
