NORTHPORT — The Bayside Store on Route 1 celebrated Dec. 18 after filling six cartons (and a boat) with Toys for Tots.

Posting on Facebook with photos by Tim Samway, Steve Trenholm wrote: “Come to find out it takes a town and a village! A huge thank you to all who participated in this year’s Bayside Store Toys for Tots campaign, especially to Liz Lane at the Bayside Store and to the Northport Yacht Club for use of the boat.

“We did ‘Fill the Boat’ with over six boxes of toys donated to help bring smiles to many faces on Christmas morning. Thank you from Liz and Steve Trenholm. Special thanks to Gordon Fuller, Jackie and Jim Facey, and Tim Samway for his photos.”
