BELFAST — On Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m., Halcyon String Quartet presents “After All” at 15 Front St. with actor David Troup narrating.

This cozy winter performance features a moving piece for string quartet and narrator composed for Halcyon in 2022 by Rockland-based composer Nathan Davis. Through music and spoken word, “After All” contemplates the trajectories of our world while reflecting on life in the midst of a pandemic. It uses the words of friends and community members to reflect on the new realities of our world and the vulnerability and resilience of our humanity in the face of climate change.

The evening will also feature a variety of short pieces including Danish folk tunes, Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” and excerpts from Caroline Shaw’s “Plan and Elevation.”

Admission is by suggested donation of $20, students $10.
