    Using old town records, Searsport Town Historian Charlene Knox Farris wrote a script entitled “Searsport’s First Town Meeting.” It was presented at both the town’s 150th and 175th birthday celebrations. Recently, Charlene gave copies of the script to both the Searsport Town Office and the Penobscot Marine Museum for use by future generations. — Dick Desmarais

    Shepherd’s Pie Supper In honor of our new Police Chief Todd Boisvert. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at the First Congregational Church, 8 Church St., Searsport.
