Whale’s Tooth Pub owners buy lodge for employee housing
The owners of the Whale’s Tooth Pub in Lincolnville have found a way to attract culinary staff at a time when there is a labor shortage and a lack of affordable housing in Midcoast Maine. They bought a lodging property, renamed it The Northport Inn & Lodge and are offering affordable lodging for their employees, as well as employees of other businesses in the area.

Lincolnville man in critical condition after crash
A Lincolnville man had to be extricated from his pickup truck by the Lincolnville Fire Department after a head on crash with a tractor trailer truck in the early morning hours July 26. Waldo County Sheriff’s deputies responded and were assisted with the investigation by Maine State Police and Belfast Police departments.

Lincolnville school plans to buy power from local solar farm
The Lincolnville Central School Committee hopes to soon be in contract with a new solar farm to be built less than a mile from the school. If all goes as planned, the school will purchase electricity generated by SunRaise’s four-megawatt solar project to be built on Searsmont Road. Voters asked to allow sale of surplus items
