A CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY…
The Northport Landing in Northport was filled with many generous hands Thursday, Oct. 28. More than a dozen crafty knitters created scarves and such to be sold at Northport Landing. All proceeds from the sales of the knitted wares will be donated to Breast Cancer Care at Waldo County General Hospital. LIGHT A LUMINARY…
On Thursday evening, Terry Prescott and Bob Hanson lit luminarias at The White House Inn on the corner of High and Church streets in Belfast. United Mid-Coast Charities is sponsoring the “Light a Luminary” project. On Dec. 24, luminarias will be lit all over the city. Luminaria kits, which cost $5, include an instruction sheet, six small candles, six waxed white paper bags and sand. Money raised will be given to
