    Maine State Police arrested 22-year-old Victoria Demmons of Belfast for assaulting a 14-year-old girl over a social media post. Demmons was charged with criminal operating under the influence, disorderly conduct and violating conditions of release.

    Over the course of eight years, James Toennis collected taxes on sales made through his catering business, Coastal Maine Critters Clambakes, but kept the money for himself. A judge sentenced Toennis to 150 days and ordered him to pay $35,834 in multiple payments over the next few years for restitution.
