SEARSPORT —New Hampshire-based ReWild Renewables plans to put a 1.2 megawatt solar farm on Sandy Ridge Lane, downsizing its operation because of a lack of load capacity on Central Maine Power Co.’s grid, according to Vice President of Project Development Joe Harrison.

Construction for the project is slated for later this year, he said. The company is still in the process of updating its state and local permits for the reduced project size. The company was going to develop a 5-megawatt solar farm but CMP had sufficient capacity left for only a 1.2-megawatt project.
