PROSPECT — William “Bill” “Wilbur” R. Swift Jr. of Prospect and Murrells Inlet, S.C., passed away on Aug. 11, 2022, at age 57, after fighting an aggressive battle with cancer.

Bill was born to William and Maddie (Hall) Swift of Prospect on Aug. 10, 1965, in Bangor. He graduated from Bucksport High school in 1983 and worked in various industries, most recently as a boilermaker supervisor where he supervised a crew called “Team Wilbur.”Bill was an active and friendly person who loved the outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish and snowmobile. He also enjoyed time on the beach and morning sunrises.Bill is survived by his partner, Vicki Commeau, and her children, Tori and Casey Commeau; his two grandchildren, Brielle Record and Easton Longo; his siblings, Linda Mitchell, Althea Grover and husband Tom, Donna Bennett and husband Glen, and Fred Swift and wife Billie; Aunts Janice Moody and Cathy Parker and husband Stewart; Uncle Paul Pickering; special friends Dwayne and Woody Simpson, and Miss Jean Thompson; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Maddy; sister Jo Colson and nephew Ronnie.
