As a 70-something who is in my “Third Act” of life, I have joined other Third Actors around our state and nation to address the crisis of climate change. As a large group, we come equipped with experience, wisdom and networks in our desire to leave a better world for our children and grandchildren. I am called to act from a deep sense of moral responsibility toward all future generations and all forms of life.

Third Act’s current focus is to stop investment in new exploration and development of fossil fuels by the four largest U.S. banks. Even as scientists have desperately urged stopping fossil fuel development, these banks have loaned more than $3 trillion to coal, gas and oil companies since 2015.
