Happening Today at 11:00am! Fabulous Frames with Artist Hannah Nelsbach. Best age range is 5 and up, we're rolling bits of paper to make a cool effect for framing a picture. See you there

The vibrant local artist Hannah Nelsbach will be bringing her energy and artistic eye today with a Fabulous Frame art workshop from 11-12pm.  Kids aged 5-12 can create whimsical and colorful frames using rolled paper while letting their imaginations fly.

Nelsbach is known for creating vivid and fantastic art with a variety of media including oils, watercolor, gouache, and even crayon. Making the world more colorful is a passion for her and she has brightened the walls of the Coastal Children’s Museum in past art workshops.  Her love of working with children led her to write and illustrate the children’s book “Fairytale about the Phenomenon of Indian Summer” which imagines the world of the autumnal leaves as they burst with color in the fall.  Her current work can be seen at Art Space Gallery in Rockland and on her blog hannahnelsbach.blogspot.com.

This workshop is included in the price of admission for non members and free for members.  Space will be limited to 12 children so sign up to reserve your spot by emailing the museum at info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org or by calling the museum at 596-0300.  The Coastal Children’s Museum is located at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland and open Wednesdays through Saturdays 10am-4pm and Sundays 1pm-4pm.  More information about upcoming events and memberships available can be found on their website www.coastalchildrensmuseum.org and on Facebook.
