Brooks, students on WERU ‘Radio Hour’

Orland — The "WERU Family Radio Hour" with Belfast's Scot Cannon will feature the art of documentary songwriting with Malcolm Brooks, Chloe Isis and Will Foote Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. The show may be heard at 89.9 and 99.9 FM; and streaming live at

Brooks of Rockport is a composer, documentary songwriter and music teacher. This radio show will bring listeners through the songwriting process with two of his students.

Documentary songwriters are part composers, part journalists. They transform people’s stories into songs on a mission is to help people collaborate, create and “increase the
