Aug. 31

Denali, a Kirby Corp. tug and fuel barge, arrived in Searsport from Portland and delivered ethanol. It departed Sept. 1 for New York.

Sept. 1

Lincoln Sea, an articulated tug and barge, arrived in Bucksport from Delaware City, Del., and delivered ultra-low-sulfur diesel. It departed Sept. 2 for New York.

Sept. 2

New England, a 599-foot Irving Oil tanker, arrived in Searsport from Saint John, New Brunswick, and delivered gasoline. It continued to Bucksport on Sept. 4 and delivered jet fuel. It departed Sept. 5 for Saint John.

Sept. 4

Amis Glory, a 623-foot bulk carrier, arrived in Searsport from Matarani, Peru, and delivered road salt. It departed Sept. 8 for Norfolk, Va.

Sept. 8

Evans Spirit, a 459-foot general cargo ship, arrived in Searsport from Long Pond, Newfoundland, and delivered a sand-like cement additive for Dragon Products of Thomaston. It departed Sept. 10 for Sept-Iles, Quebec.

This shallow-draft vessel built in the Netherlands combines features of a traditional cargo ship with a tug-and-barge combo. According to the owner, McKeil Marine, the hybrid design allows it to transport 40-percent more cargo than a tug and barge, and do it 50-percent faster on a similar amount of fuel.

Sept. 11

Tanja, a 606-foot bulk carrier, arrived in Searsport from Vila do Conde, Brazil, bearing clay slurry. It departed Sept. 13 for Portland.

Sept. 13 - Great Eastern, to Searsport, from Come By Chance, Newfoundland, delivering several types of fuel.

Sept. 13-15 - Dylan Cooper, to Searsport, from New York, delivering ethanol.
