Freedom Town News

By SallyAnn Hadyniak | Feb 09, 2019

Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day: A special day to express your feelings to someone you care for. A time to send or receive flowers, candy, dinner, dancing, and so much more. No matter what you do on this day, it will be special and you will always remember. No matter what you do or who you spend the day with, enjoy it!

Selectmen’s meeting

The selectmen will meet on Monday, Feb. 18, starting at 6 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. Come and join us and hear what is going on in your town and all that is being accomplished. If you have questions to ask, the place is at the selectmen’s meetings. There, you will get your answers.

Town Office

Absentee ballots are now available to be picked up at the Town Office.

Voice of Freedom

The Freedom Community Historical Society’s Winter Festival was a great success in spite of the frigid weather. The Rec. Committee provided food and hot drinks. Then there was a potluck dinner followed by the Follies! It was well attended and many said we should hold that event every year.

I was unable to attend the event this year due to family obligations. We had a whole day of three birthdays that we celebrated. It consisted of getting our nails done, snowshoeing, dinner from the Olive Garden and filled with laughter and love.

Regarding those who aren’t well and in the hospital/rehab, prayers are being continued for you to get well soon.

Until next week, stay warm, stay safe, be kind to your neighbor and God bless.
