Weather Brief May 08, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - May 8, 2019 PM

Sunshine is back across the Midcoast as high pressure has built in after a cold front brought clouds and showers on Tuesday. This has propelled highs into the 50s and 60s during the afternoon under mainly clear skies. Without a blanket of clouds in place, temperatures will dip down Wednesday night that may near or cool below the freezing mark of 32 degrees.

We'll see another dry day on Thursday but clouds will be making a comeback as a large area of low pressure develops to our west and pushes into the northeast. This will bring soaking rain Friday with around 1/4" to 1/2" of accumulation expected. Clouds and showers will also make for a cooler day Friday with highs holding in the 40s. Skies will clear out on Saturday as high pressure takes hold back across the region setting the Midcoast up for another pleasant spring weekend with a good deal of sun and highs into the 60s. We'll see clouds build back in on Monday with rain moving in again for Tuesday.
