Weather Brief May 17, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - May 17, 2019 PM

The round of rain that moved through early Friday has cleared to the east leaving light accumulations for the Midcoast. We'll see some clearing overnight as the storm moves out and high pressure builds in from the northwest. We'll see pleasant weather through the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds and mild temperatures with highs climbing to the upper 50s to mid 60s. A warm front will lift through the region on Sunday returning rain chances but the bulk of the organized rain will hold over northern Maine.

Warmer air will spill in from the south behind the warm front raising temperatures up into the 70s to near 80 in spots for Monday under partly to mostly cloudy skies. A cold front will move in from the west late Monday pushing a few showers and thunderstorms through the state. High pressure will build in for the mid week with partly to mostly sunny skies with highs dipping back down to the upper 50s to mid 60s. An area of low pressure will move in from the west on Thursday pushing in another round of rain showers.
