BELFAST — Perennial Maine folksinger David Mallett graces the main stage at the Crosby Center, 96 Church St., on Saturday, June 22, at 7 p.m., accompanied by his five-piece band of accomplished musicians for an evening of music and lyrics that will charm and inspire all who attend.

Mallett, a singer-songwriter, is one of America’s true original troubadours. In a career spanning four decades, he has recorded 17 albums, had several hundred covers of his songs, including the American folk classic “Garden Song” (Inch by Inch, Row by Row), and performed in clubs, concert halls and festivals across the United States, Canada and Europe. He has appeared on numerous broadcasts, including National Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion. Known for his carefully written, poetic offerings, his body of work has provided material for an eclectic list of artists that includes Alison Krauss, Pete Seeger, Hal Ketchum, Emmylou Harris, John Denver and the Muppets.

Tickets are $18 online or $20 at the door, and $15 for seniors. For more information, visit The Crosby Center event on Facebook or, or call 323-4505.

Thanks for the heads up, I have added the Facebook event link in the last paragraph... too bad about their website! Enjoy the show!

I can't get onto because its certificate has expired, which would leave my credit card info vulnerable.  However, I did have success at Even so, the link to their website is broken. But there was also a FaceBook link to events.  There I was able to purchase advance tickets. EventBrite fees ate up the savings, but at least I have the tix.  Whew!
