Weather Brief Jul 17, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - July 17, 2019 PM

Clouds and showers are back Wednesday bringing some needed rain to the Midcoast. A cold front moving in from the west will continue to give rise to periods of showers and some storms through late Wednesday before clearing out offshore during the overnight. High pressure will build in behind the front for Thursday ushering in cooler and less humid air with highs holding in the 70s for most and noticeably less sticky air. We'll see partly to mostly sunny skies for the day and into Friday as high pressure continues as the dominate weather feature. A warm front will push through from west to east late Friday bringing a slight chance for shower or storm Friday night. This frontal passage will open the gates to hot and humid summer air that will raise temperatures into the 90s for a large chunk of the region through the weekend. A cold front will approach late Sunday and through Monday touching off another round of showers and storms followed by cooler air for the mid week.
