Weather Brief Jul 31, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - July 31, 2019 AM

Wednesday has been another hot & humid day across the Midcoast with highs ranging in the low 80s at the coast to low 90s further inland. The heat coupled with the humidity brought the heat index into the upper 80s to mid 90s. A cold front will move in late in the day with more organized showers and storms toward the evening and early night. Some of these storms could be strong with locally gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning. This will clear offshore into Thursday which will slightly knock down the heat and humidity. High pressure will build in during the late week providing another sunny stretch of weather with highs in the 80s, but humidity will be lower. An area of low pressure will move into the region during the weekend that will bring more clouds Saturday with a chance of showers and storms on Sunday.
