LifeFlight called in after Liberty crash

Liberty — A Liberty resident was critically injured Thursday evening when his car went off the road and struck a tree.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a car driven by Sean Anderson, 37, crashed on Prescott Hill Road at 8:26 p.m.

Sheriff’s deputies and surrounding area first responders arrived and began rendering aid to Anderson, who was pinned in the vehicle. Police said his injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Once Anderson was extricated from the vehicle, he was flown by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The incident remains under investigation by Deputy Ryan Jackson. Alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor.
