Win a prize for your photo of Belfast Farmers' Market

Aug 04, 2019

Belfast — Belfast Farmers' Market will be participating in Maine Farmers’ Market Snapshot Week on Aug. 9.

Snapshot Week unites farmers’ markets across Maine, during National Farmers’ Market Week, for a week of celebration, special market activities, and sharing of photos and stories. Shoppers are invited to come to the market for a day full of activities, including a giveaway of temporary tattoos and stickers and photo contest.

Since 1980, the Belfast Farmers Market has provided fresh, high quality, Maine-grown food to the surrounding community. August is the beginning of peak farmers’ market season, and at the Belfast Farmers Market shoppers can expect to find everything from locally grown fruits and vegetables, locally raised meat, dairy and seafood, baked goods, prepared foods and more!

During Snapshot Week, the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets will be conducting a photo competition for market shoppers. “Shoppers can submit photos that capture what they love about their local farmers’ markets, and the best submissions will get a prize!” said Jimmy DeBiasi of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets. Details on the photo competition can be found on the organization’s website,

The Belfast Farmers Market operates every Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waterfall Arts in downtown Belfast. The market is in operation year-round.
