Weather Brief Aug 07, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - August 7, 2019 PM

Clouds and fog have taken hold across the Midcoast ahead of a round of showers and storms. Low pressure moving into the region from the west has pulled moist air in ahead of it along breezy south winds. This will fuel showers and storms Wednesday night and into the first half of Thursday as the low passes through northern Maine, pulling a cold front through the Midcoast. Rain may be heavy at times with around 1/2" of accumulation expected with locally higher amounts for areas that see rounds of thunderstorms. The cloudy and wet weather will continue to keep temperatures cooler than we've seen recently with highs in the 70s. Skies will gradually clear into Friday as highs rebound into the low 80s. We'll see nice weather for the upcoming weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of showers and storms late Saturday.
