Weather Brief Aug 09, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - August 9, 2019 PM

Sunshine is back Friday after our round of soaking rain this week. There is a chance of isolated showers late Friday with more showers and storms possible Saturday afternoon as a weak cold front passes through Maine. This will continue to usher in cool and dry air to the region for the weekend with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. High pressure will build into the region on Sunday making for a mostly sunny day with light west winds. Monday will start off mostly sunny for the Midcoast with highs climbing near 80 but a cold front will move through New England late in the day that will increase clouds and bring a slight chance of showers and storms late with the best chance of rain over central and northern Maine. This will clear Monday night followed by an area of low pressure that will track through southern New England on Tuesday with another round of soaking rain. This will make for cooler temperatures with highs in the 60s. Rains will clear into the mid week as high pressure builds back in over the region.
