Juanita Dinsmore

Searsport — On Aug. 31, 2019, Juanita passed away peacefully in her Searsport home. She was born in Brunswick on Dec. 15, 1942, to loving parents, Isaiah and Ethel Davis Sr. Juanita graduated Brewer High School in 1961 and soon after married the love of her life. She was a devout Baptist Christian who served on her church's board and was also a very proud member of the American Legion, the Rebekahs, Oddfellows and The Lafemmes. Over the years, she held numerous offices within the Grand Encampment and was the first female in the state of Maine to hold the office of Grand Patriarch.

Juanita was a remarkable woman who was loved by many people. She leaves her family with an abundance of memories and the knowledge that they will see her smile again.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald Dinsmore Sr.; two brothers Edward Davis and Isaiah Davis Jr.; her four children, Donald Dinsmore Jr., Kandice Pomeroy, Michelle Dinsmore and Jean Greenleaf; as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
