BELFAST — Many classes and workshops are scheduled at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., this fall. Some classes meet weekly while others are intensive one-day sessions. All classes are taught by accomplished and experienced local artists and teachers. A wide range of offerings are available for young and adult artists alike.

For youth, Young Artists’ Studio, a weekly drop-in art club with Bridget Matros, is from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays (ages 8-18). CASS students can sign up for the Bridge JR program at CASS from noon to 3:15 p.m. on Fridays, Nov. 11 through Dec. 13 (grades 3-5). On Nov. 16, Waterfall Arts will present Funny HaHa, an All Ages Art Happening, a stand-up comedy show featuring 4 to 7 year olds.

Art Together Mornings, memorable mornings where adults and children experience the benefit of focused time spent creating together, will run on the first Saturday of the month throughout the fall on Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Participants of all ages are invited to join the weekly free Art Hive pop up studio from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays. All are welcome to experience the transformative power of art in a safe environment. No need to bring materials, the Art Hive provides them.

Several printmaking classes/workshops will be offered, including Quick Cuts/Reduction Print Technique on Oct. 9, Collagraph on Oct. 30, Monotype on Nov. 13, and Drypoint on Dec. 11.
