Weather Brief Oct 14, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - October 14, 2019 PM

Our weeks is off to a cloudy start with south winds pulling in moisture across the region ahead of a weak cold front moving in from the west. This front will move through during the overnight with a slight chance of light rain with little to no accumulation expected. High pressure will build into the region on Tuesday returning mostly sunny skies with highs once again holding in the 50s. We'll see sunshine again to start Wednesday but clouds will steadily move in through the day as a strong area of low pressure exits the Great Lakes and moves into southern Quebec. We'll see the low redevelop over the Gulf of Maine into Thursday and quickly intensify making for heavy rain and strong winds. We'll see sustained winds from the east increasing between 15 to 25mph with gusts up to 35mph possible. The storm will exit to the north and east on Friday switching winds out of the northwest staying brisk as skies gradually clear. High pressure will build in heading into the weekend returning fair weather and light winds.
