Bill was born and raised in Southern California before serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Then it was off to Colorado for college before Bill took a trip to Maine and fell in love with the Mid-coast area. “It looked like a perfect place to build a home and a raise a family”. He first settled in Belfast where he got a job teaching high school English at Belfast Area High School. Shortly thereafter, Bill moved out to Freedom where he bought a 100 acre farm, got married to Annie (who was a local girl and a fellow teacher) and went on to raise a family and create the home of their dreams.

Bill and Annie’s home on Goosepecker Ridge has been the setting for many weddings, large parties and garden tours. The perennial gardens are a work of art and the croquet areas, farm pond and 3 hole golf course provide an ever changing glimpse into the best that Mid-coast Maine has to offer.

Bill’s casual style is further enhanced by his many years in the business. After teaching for 13 years and realizing that it would take more than a teacher’s income to pay for the education of his twin sons, Bill went into real estate in 1986. He has managed an office for the largest multi-office firm in the area, owned and operated a franchise real estate office in Belfast and then moved on to Camden Real Estate where he has been one of their top performers for the past 11 years.

Bill has also been honored to serve as President of the Mid-Coast Board of Realtors, director of the statewide Maine Association of Realtors, and Chairman of the State of Maine Professional Standards Committee.
