Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure, September 15

Approximately 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.  On September 15, 2012, Alison Williams of Spectrum Generations Bridges Home Care will be riding her Clydesdale, Dunkin, in the Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure in New Hampshire.  This 11 mile horseback ride raises funds to support the programs in the Susan G. Komen Foundation, as well as raise awareness.

The Susan G. Komen Foundation is dedicated to not only helping find a cure, but to providing financial assistance to women who are at a medical disadvantage, and otherwise would be unable to receive care and treatment for breast cancer.

As many as 100 horse and rider teams will join Alison and Dunkin (pictured) in this ride.  Alison is riding in honor of her Great Grandmother who lost her battle with breast cancer, and also in support of a very good friend who is a survivor.

In order for Alison and Dunkin to be able to participate, they need to raise a minimum of $250.00 in donations.   You can help her meet this goal and support Susan G. Komen in their search for a cure!  Donations can be made at her personal fundraising page at Spectrum Generations Bridges Home Care in wishing Alison & Dunkin great weather and trails on their ride!
