Art auction to support local journalism

Jul 06, 2020
"Lobster Boats in Harbor" by Judy Grossman.

Courier Publications is holding an online art auction July 13 through 22 on Facebook to support quality local journalism in Knox, Lincoln and Waldo counties.

To participate, go to the Facebook page for VillageSoup, "Art Auction Supporting Local Journalism" at facebook.com/groups/art4papers.

This event is an excellent opportunity to see and buy at a good price the work of fabulous local artists. As we know, the Midcoast is the art capital of Maine.

More than 60 works by local artists were donated for this event. This includes many paintings, which would make perfect gifts for family or friends, or a unique way to treat yourself!

The proceeds from this event will support continuing to provide reporters and editors who gather local news, opinion, sports, arts and entertainment in your local newspapers, The Courier-Gazette, The Camden Herald and The Republican Journal, and VillageSoup online.
