Art walk, community sing, Busker's Fest Sept. 28

Sep 15, 2018
Belfast is sending its Fourth Friday Art Walk season off with style Sept. 28.

Belfast — The streets of Belfast will come alive during Belfast Creative Coalition’s Fourth Friday Art Walk Sept. 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The evening includes a special community street-sing event led by local singers; and a mini-buskers festival with a variety of street musicians, various performers, chalk art and more.

The main event is the art walk through downtown and around. More than 20 vibrant galleries will be open to show work and welcome walkers with libations and tasty tidbits. Maine Farmland Trust will open a show of new work by Kris Engman; Waterfall Arts will open a show of works by Joe, Tony and Max Ascrizzi; and the Finch Gallery, featuring oils by Jerri Finch and sculptures by Jay Hoagland, will hold a season closing celebration.

As the walk winds down, there will be an open mic at Bella Books on Pendleton Lane. For more information, call 218-1144 or email
