Author launches ‘The Fat Lady Sings’

Belfast — Local author and Jungian psychotherapist Cheryl Fuller will launch her new book, “The Fat Lady Sings: A Psychological Exploration of the Cultural Fat Complex and its Effects,” with a reading and discussion Tuesday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Fuller’s book is part memoir, part inquiry. It examines the scientific and psychological theories of what it means to live in a large body in our culture. Fuller brings more than 40 years of clinical experience, humor and enthusiasm to the study of Jung, psychotherapy, feminism and fat studies.
