Bar Harbor Comic Con 2017

By Dan Dunkle | May 04, 2017

I was going through the photos in my phone and thought I would belatedly share some pics from our visit to the Comic Con in Bar Harbor back in March.

We tend to look for something to do out of the house as a family on the weekends. If we stay home, we end up just doing housework and staring at the tube.

It was a cool event. I got to meet Barry Longyear who wrote "Enemy Mine," which is a favorite book and movie for me. We left with a signed copy of his complete series.

We ran into some people we know there as well. I think we should bring a Comic Con to the Rockland area. Would there be interest from the local community in that?

This is author Barry Longyear. He told me to go ahead and take my picture because it wasn't going to improve. Very dry and funny. Wonderful writer of "Enemy Mine." (Photo by: Daniel Dunkle)
Ran into Earl Brechlin, editor of the Mount Desert Islander. He used to work with us at Courier Publications. (Photo by: Daniel Dunkle)
Andy O'Brien of The Free Press was also there. (Photo by: Daniel Dunkle)

Leni Gronros of Rockport restored a Trans Am to be the Knight Rider car. I've done an article and videos on this, which I will provide as links. (Photo by: Daniel Dunkle)
