Belfast — Sign-up for those who want to play youth football in the Belfast Area Peewee League will be Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at Belfast Area High School. The sign-ups will be held outdoors, rain or shine.

Children must be ages 8 to 13 or in third through seventh grades. All players makes a team. Children should bring a birth certificate and a proof of heath insurance to sign-ups.

Everyone must sign a permission form each year. If you are on a team, contact your coach to sign a form and the obtain the practice schedule.

All new players must have a physical examination before their first contact practice. If you have had a physical this year, provide a copy at sign-ups. If you are a returning player, physicals are required every other year, so if your physical is two years old then a new physical form is required.

The league is looking for coaches for the Rams team, and assistants for some of the other teams. The coaches and all those involved in the league are volunteers and help is needed to keep the league available to all youth who want to participate. Help also is needed with the clock, yard markers, referees and concessions.
