Belfast Little League sign-up, tryouts begin April 26

Program back in game for 2021 after pandemic sidelines games in 2020

Belfast — Belfast Little League, a youth baseball program, is about to step back to the plate for the 2021 season with sign-ups and tryouts.

The program, open to children who reside in Belfast, Swanville and Northport, will hold tryouts for those ages 9-12 on Monday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 28 at 5 p.m. at Walsh Field on Route 52.

Children should plan to attend both tryouts. Face coverings/masks are required.

In-person sign-ups for Minor League (farm teams) for children ages 7-11 also will be Monday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 28 from 5 to 6 p.m. on Walsh Field. One also can sign-up online at waldocountyll.org.

Face coverings/masks are required at the in-person sign-ups.
